We are three board certified Immunologists with expertise varying from Asthma, Allergy, Immunology, Arthritis, Rheumatology in adult and pediatric patients. We strive to give a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to each patient. We work as a team with the family as well as the other health care providers.

James D. Anderson, M.D., F.A.C.P.

 

Dr. James Anderson has a long history of medical service to the people of Kansas. He is a founding member of ARCKC LLC but was also a founding member of Arthritis and Rheumatology Clinics of Kansas in Wichita, KS. When Dr. Anderson moved to the Kansas City area for family reasons, he started a branch in Leawood, KS which has now become ARCKC LLC.
Dr. Anderson is a third generation pilot and native Kansan, Dr. Anderson received his medical degree from the University of Kansas with his postgraduate training at Wichita area hospitals. Dr Anderson received his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Kansas and his fellowship training in Rheumatology at University of Missouri at Columbia. Dr. Anderson is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. To help further the understanding and treatment of rheumatic disease Dr. Anderson has 30 years of research experience in areas including genetics, immunology, arthritis, and pharmacotherapeutic agents. Dr. Anderson's goal in medicine is to relieve pain and suffering and prevent disabilities. His personal interests are flying small planes and in spending time with his family.
Patients comment that they feel right at home with Dr. Anderson’s approach to medicine. Dr Anderson strives for the most cost effective medical care possible while offering the best quality care for each patient.

Aruna Baratham, M.D.

 

Dr.Aruna Baratham is a founding member of ARCKC LLC as of September 2012 after joining Arthritis and Rheumatology Clinics of Kansas June, 2010. This corporate change she feels will better serve the balance of arthritis and allergy patients served by ARCKC LLC.
Dr. Baratham moved to Kansas City in 2000, after her medical training in Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, one of the distinguished medical schools in India. She finished her Internal Medicine training at the University of Kansas and served a hospitalist at KU Med for a year before proceeding to complete two fellowships in a combined three-year program in Rheumatology and in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Kansas. Dr. Baratham is board certified and a member of national allergy and arthritis organizations.  Peers recognize her as an excellent diagnostician. Patients comment that she is a caring and thorough physician.
Dr. Baratham treats a variety of rheumatic conditions in adults and allergic/asthma/immunologic conditions in patients of all ages. Her key interests include treating inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, asthma and allergic rhinitis. Dr. Baratham is active in medical research to help further the knowledge about and treatment of these conditions. She approaches patients with an understanding of the special issues facing patients with chronic diseases and with determination to help patients achieve health and wellbeing.

Nancy Young Olson, M.D.

 

Dr. Nancy Young Olson is a founding member of ARCKC LLC after joining ARCK November, 2010, after over 25 years of service at the University of Kansas Medical Center. At ARCK, Dr. Olson will continue to provide university level care but in a private setting. Dr. Olson provides asthma, allergy, and immunology services to patients of all ages and pediatric arthritis and rheumatology to children from birth into adulthood. Dr. Olson is one of a few physicians in the country boarded in Asthma, Allergy, Immunology and in Pediatric Rheumatology. Similarly, she is one of only a few in the country offering Pediatric Rheumatology in a private practice setting.
Dr. Olson has achieved Fellow status in the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology, and the American College of Rheumatology. She has served on the numerous national committees and as President of the Greater Kansas City Allergy Society. Dr. Olson's research activities have also included serving as a member and research physician in the Pediatric Rheumatology Collaborative Study Group (PRCSG), and as a member and research physician of the Childhood Arthritis & Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA). Her publications include articles, scholarly presentations, and book chapters. She continues to be active in research at ARCKC LLC. Dr. Olson was High School Valedictorian, a Curators Scholar and Ewing Kauffman Scholar at the University of Missouri, and earned BA/MD degrees with honors. Dr. Olson has served as Committee Chairman for national professional organizations, has served as reviewer for medical journals. Dr. Olson was honored as 2003 Hero of the Year for the Greater Kansas City Arthritis Foundation and has been listed in America's Top Physicians, Top Pediatricians, and Top International Physicians. She has been honored as one of "Kansas City's Super Doctors" for several years.
Dr. Olson has passionate interest in improving care in asthma, allergy, juvenile arthritis, and rheumatic diseases. A team approach is utilized with the patient's physician/healthcare provider, the patient and family.
